Plantar Fasisits

Hi All, Just wondering do any of you other posties suffer from Plantar fasisitis?? and if so is it DDA covered? It is a very painful foot condition brought on by repetitive activity.

Hi madeline
had this myself a couple of years back , very painful indeed , not sure about DDA but the only way that i could ease the
pain was to wear trainers and that didnt happen over nite either hope this helps

Thanks Glenno. I am getting orthos, so i hope the start to help, as i cant cope much longer like this.Glad yours went away anyway, just keep wearing your trainers, i do wear trainers also, but still bad.

TBT. Going on that link Plantar seems to be DDA covered, some peeps in my place are DDA and they do not get put on stages.

Hi madelin4,
I suffered from this August 2006 and it is like ligiment damage very painful as you can tell. I was off work for 7 months and at its worse could only walk/stand for up to 20 mins.
RM will send you to ATOS constantly to rush you back. Do not go back to work, until you are better; it is very frustrating and will be a constant battle with managment.
I was told different things by these so called independant health advisers[Atos]. Including ill health retirement, stick to your guns you are covered by DDA. Which means if you cannot do your normal duty they must find a suitable alternative.
The treatment is long and hard; streatching and building up the leg muscules, wearing an insole and various exercises. I was told it would take up to 2 years to get better. It took me 1 year, but it will never be 100%
