It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Best I had was just this week - time on card was 0910 - he was in callers office at 0925 - took 10mins to explain that we don't have transporters like star trek and that the postie was still on his round. This charming guy said he would ring our DOM and complain "The postman should bring it straight back "
We had one the other day clearly marked 'packet', 'left at No2', he lived at No 1, came in the callers office complaining like hell, said he didn't know what it meant

Every single day, lots of students in my area, got to get them out of bed, makes me mad, we should be allowed to make them eat the P739s
'if its written out you got to eat it'

I had that once to often from the same block - he waited till I was 8 doors down and he came out for it. I said sorry mate I've already sent it back. He now answers the door straight away. Bloody e-bayers cant get a wage without them but they are a pain when your a walker.

ha, i do that thing cruisey does and completely ignore anyone who shouts "oy love" or suchlike. my particular favourite is to ignore someone whistle and when theyve made the effort to catch me up, which is no mean feat as i don't tend to hang about, they'll say "did you not hear me"? i say "oh i'm sorry i thought youd lost your dog". totally satisfying! :whistle

when delivering to blocks of flats or sheltered housing complexes, why is it that the only residents who get mail[and loads of it] every day, stay on the top floor or at the end of the corridor, furthest away from the stairs? :d'oh!
