Busy day, plenty of DSA. Packets picked up today a bit. Can see why RM opted for the longs towards the end of the week now

The walk I’m on is getting hammered, the guy who has it is off for a few weeks he is very very lucky. I’ve being getting finished at around 2.30pm so a good 4+hrs most days, its mainly a council area so we have had those new housing booklets and my god they weigh a tonne I’m sure its classed as a slavery what I’ve put up with for the two weeks I’ve being on it, :evil/mad I’ve finished all the booklets but now have to start on the Sky mags, 40+ light bulbs, D2Ds and those huge Saga books, its a joke tbh very much considering leaving.

"...I'm doing a double shift..."

Post by majeed »

Today, I answered an awful lot of people with the words, "I'm doing a double shift" :cry . One postie pulled up in streets late into walk #2 and asked if everyone in my delivery office was "on Starburst" - I had no idea what he was talking about  , but sort-of got the idea  and gave the same reply I had been giving to people all afternoon, i.e. "I'm doing a double shift". The taxi driver between walk #1 and walk #2 remarked that competition was supposed to improve the service but had actually made it worse :Applause . The end of the day saw me making an unplanned flying dive onto hard paving stones :arrrghhh in the busy city centre, as I ran for the bus. :cuppa

Almost same here - first letter about 10.15 and finished 14.45 (first walk). Have you got lots on sick and holiday where you are? I've heard that explains the weird hours. We can't go until most of the frames are thrown-in...
