A POSTMAN was taken to hospital after a masked man attacked him on his way to work.
The 53-year-old was walking in Southfield Road, in Ponders End, when he became aware that he was being stalked by another man who had emerged from an alleyway shortly before.
The postie’s worst fears were confirmed as the trailing thug launched a violent ambush to snatch his personal property.
In the struggle that followed, the attacker, who had covered his face behind a black mask, drew a kitchen knife and stabbed his victim.
He then fled the scene empty-handed towards Hertford Road, leaving the man bleeding on the ground.
He was treated at hospital and has since been discharged.
A spokesman for Royal Mail stated that he was not carrying any items of post when he was attacked.

Because it would suit royalmail's purpose if he did die!. But may i send my best wishes and hope he get's better soon. If so, how is he?
The article says that he was discharged from Hospital. But nothing about how he's coping with the trauma of being attacked.
