How many SPECIAL DELIVERY items are you failing each day?
I'd like to start a new thread to see how many Special Delivery items are failing under this " New way of working " I will reply to this thread everytime I fail one from now on.
I failed 2 on Wednesday and 1 today. Told manager before I went out, he didn't want to know!

9am ones SHOULD be done by the drivers, they should nip out and do them.
As for walkers failing them, how the hell could this happen.
Personally i'd email leighton anonymously with all the details and get the managers busted, this aint on,people pay a lot for this service!

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

While I agree in principle with what you say, beware..............there is no such thing as informing Mr Leighton anonymously, `it` will end up back in your Office, so make sure you cannot be identified as the `sender`....... In an office that my cousin has told me about, specials are not scanned in till the next day therefore very few failures.POSTMAN wrote:9am ones SHOULD be done by the drivers, they should nip out and do them.

I have never had one failed yet - reason I know my walk and I refuse to accept them if I know I am going to be at the address later than 1.00pm. If they try to force me to do it, then I cut off as to meet the time I will have to dead walk back at some point and that has to be taken into account. If however, they still refuse (never happened) and I know I will be late then I will ask the Manager to sign the outside of the letter/packet to say he accepts and knows it will fail. I would then advise the customer of their rights and leave it at that.

I wonder how that works as I thought they were scanned all along the route and surely the original PO - NDC, RDC, SO and MCs will have scanned them as well. If it was a constant thing it would stand out like a sore thumb.johnsonrmc wrote:While I agree in principle with what you say, beware..............there is no such thing as informing Mr Leighton anonymously, `it` will end up back in your Office, so make sure you cannot be identified as the `sender`....... When our callers office closes at 1pm, the guys go home before all the posties are back. When they arrive in the next morning they take any specials that have been p739 and reallocate them to a walk. They download the gun and then confirm the specials were not delivered and p739. If you look at one of them on a track & trace it would show. Day 1: Allocated, delivered. Day 2: Reallocated, p739. They have been doing this for over a year and no one has checked up on it.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:I wonder how that works as I thought they were scanned all along the route and surely the original PO - NDC, RDC, SO and MCs will have scanned them as well.
