Long term sick, return to work

Post by heapsy »

Been off several months. Facing stage 1. Still waiting for operation. What happens if I return to work on light duties, until my op? I will have to go off again. Does this trigger stage 2? Will I lose pay with next absense? Many thanks.

That's a discussion you need to have with the employer and healthcare provider. Are reasonable adjustments available?

2nd absence = 2 days SSP and if your off over 10 days you will trigger a stage 2
