TBH even if that is a rumour, which I doubt, everyone should be double checking what they post anyway.

Remember you signed the Official Secrets Act on induction day so you have to be careful what you say.

Also be careful about posting anything that makes it easier to identify you or anyone else for your own peace of mind.

In no circumstances give information that makes anyone else identifiable

Generalise don't be specific when posting about actual events or locations, unless you think its safe to do so.

Always, always whatever you post remember that other people with less altruistic motives may be reading it.

Yes, and forum owners are not immune from ending up in court as seems to be happening a lot now so its important that members don't give anyone from outside any reason to follow that route. The rules cover all of this marky. Same with the press. You can bet they frequent these threads and they won't be looking for 'good' things to print.

Yes we signed the secrets act fair enough.
But we are not allowed to speak our minds about the job in this so called free country. Remind me, we are still in a democracy aren't we??

Yes, but free speech doesn't allow you to slag someone off (in this case, our employer) with no redress. Going on a public forum and posting what may be seen as unduly negative or insulting or patently untrue things will get you a trip "down the road" no matter who you work for. Ask any employment solicitor or union official.
Anyway, any more info concerning these so-called "spies"?
