Working in toxic environments is one of the main reasons people vent on social media about the union and Royal Mail.

DM26 being unachievable puts staff in the firing line of bullying and harassing managers.

Unfortunately, the CWU hasn't done enough on fixing this culture within Royal Mail.

To actually have a chance of getting rid of the toxic culture you need to push the message out to all posties and union reps to record every single time a manager bullies and harasses a staff member. From my experience it's mainly stern questioning full of false accusations of posties not working hard enough with zero evidence to back it up and it happens EVERY SINGLE TIME any postie brings something back. So, if you work on a duty that's impossible to complete on a daily basis... that's an argument with a manager every single day - which just beats posties down mentally. We need to all be calling it out, if managers knew there were consequences for their behaviour then it might stop.

Dedicating a CWU live to bullying and harassment and starting a KICK IT OUT campaign might get us out of this relentless cycle of toxicity.

Been in job 36 years and Ward is the worst CWU leader we have had.
A catalogue of failure in every department except growing his own personal wealth.
He is seen as a total traitor by almost all.
Know we have to change etc, but what do we get back?

You know it's all going wrong when Martin pops up in here. Trying to distract from the CWU failure. Take Dave's posturing at the TUC in defence of collective bargaining. Martin appears to tell us about the payments available to groups of workers which is in direct opposition to collective bargaining. It's laughable.

Those acting as the leadership of the CWU are indeed in a reprehensible state and have been for decades. That's why criticism is levelled here by those who know that you cannot be a rep and challenge those who claim to lead. Even those who are reelected unopposed or with minority votes so small as to be meaningless.

DM26 is a failure. Martin Walsh knows it is. That why he's in here trying to gaslight us.

Just seeing your response now Martin, several issues.
Most remain anonymous on here for the fear of prying eyes from managers and as we all know managers in Royal Mail have gotten away with a bullying culture for years.
Maybe the Union leadership should have done something worthwhile about that.

Many of us on here had the nerve several years ago to lose wages many can ill afford to lose so we could stand on a picket line and while putting blind faith in guys who had the mandate to hold Royal Mail to account and that faith was rewarded with disdain. It was you and your comrades at the big table who pushed the deal that involved the two tier pay system that is causing havoc now. Its also you and your mates that are telling us DM26 is the only option and its all Looking good while Men and women with years of service are saying the opposite. Not only that but they are talking of exhaustion, mental stress and low moral. All while Royal Mail top dogs are taking 7 million pound wage packets and Daniel is raking it in.

I also didn’t see a response to whether you have participated in DM26 yourself personally yet ?

Where were you all during the recent Heatwaves when we were being pushed in 38 degree heat ?

Your wages are paid by plebs like me and whether you like it or not this forum is there to highlight issues and failures.
So take your faux outrage and stuff it.

And if your speaking with Dave anytime soon tell him it will be a joy to watch him grovel to Farage when hes Prime minister
