DM26 questions and concerns:All members have an opportunity to email myself Mwalsh@cwu.org or Tbouch@cwu.org
All members have an opportunity to email myself Mwalsh@cwu.org or Tbouch@cwu.org
All you need to do is confirm your office and the issues your having and we will respond and if necessary get a senior rep to visit your office to help resolve any unit.
Since we invited emails from members we have recieved over 130 emails and all have been responded too.
There are over 769 units which have deployed DM26, the majority of these are working better than under the old USO model. 300 of those units which have deployed are on track, with three weeks to go to recieve a bonus payment as they have hit budget and quality targets.
There are some units which have not worked well and we support the position which Bristol and South West adopted that they units had to be fixed prior to any further deployment.
USO change was not optional. Change was unavoidable. However DM26 is a better model and has the necessary safeguards to ensure it can work everywhere even if PODs etc have to be changed.
So if your units has an issue , don’t rely on social media to fix it , email the CWU and providing your a member then we will respond and get it fixed.
Thanks
Martin

We have deployed and heard nothing of any potential bonus payments. Can you share the details of this please?

I think the only question people should be asking the CWU or Martin Walsh is how to cancel their union subs.

No office should be in a position that requires individual members to email Martin or Tony. There is a local, area and divisional rep who should have intervened before it got to this point. The CWU has failed to say no go repeatedly despite knowing full well the criteria is not being adhered to. Those figures don't bode well either.
Once again the full time release mob have taken it upon themselves to decide they know better.

Who is to receive the bonus payment mentioned in the OP? Management or postdonkeys?

Define “working better”.Martin Walsh wrote: ↑Yesterday, 15:20

Our office has not started DM26 yet but from what you hear and read about offices that have deployed there seems to be major issues with uneven workload and fatigue.
Claiming it’s a success based on budget and quality of service figures whilst ignoring the impact the changes maybe having on the workforce is something you expect from senior management and not something you should expect from a union.

I reckon this post has probably put the final nail in the coffin regarding my union membership.
I’ve been a staunch defender in the trade union movement but what’s the point when you are letting the company walk all over staff and drive us Into the ground with unmanageable workloads.
When you have managers bullying and intimidating staff for not being able to deliver double mail and hundreds of tracked and the rep just shrugs their shoulders you know the union isn’t fit for purpose.

Some union rep will sort it out...
I'm not sure a union rep is capable, nor that it's their job.
Maybe stop dictating to your members and listen to them....you've forgotten your place.

Giving our office 2 options..... Longer days or even longer days in exchange for an extra couple or so days off every X number of weeks is no good for fatigue.

If management are to receive part of this bonus, which they would, then it would contribute to them putting extra pressure on their 'team' to clearfunkflex55 wrote: ↑Yesterday, 17:36Who is to receive the bonus payment mentioned in the OP? Management or postdonkeys?
Problem is, how many of their 'team' even know about it?
We certainly dont.
What is the criteria for receiving this bonus?

Same for me, we've plenty of PDF's pinned around the DO showing the new way of working but not one explaining any bonus scheme?Acca Dacca wrote: ↑Yesterday, 15:46We have deployed and heard nothing of any potential bonus payments. Can you share the details of this please?
