Shift pattern

Post by lomax1231 »

Hi all, just wondering if there any offices doing the 4 day week shift pattern.

We had a 5 min union meeting and was told we had 4 options.

9 day fortnight
9 day fortnight early sat
2 in 5 sat
4 day week

Was asked to vote on two but was not given much info at all. So we narrowed it down to 9 day (earlier sat) and 2 in 5.
Speaking to everyone when I got back, most people like the 4 day week, im going to get a vote in the office but phoning the union rep and was told we might not have that option.
Seems like the want to push us to a 2 in 5

I've found the details looks like the 4 day week is pretty attractive attendance wise but very long days so I'd assume they'd have to revise your duties to make them longer which will obviously be hard work on delivery

Yh think they will turn around and say it not suitable for the office but then why offer it in the first place.

We voted between 2 different options. They turned around and said that none of them were possible. So we have a completely different option with no vote. :left:

That’s what I thought but we got steered away from it as the offices up here that voted for it are really struggling on Saturdays for some reason. We got the 9 day option 1 which we wanted albeit 30 minute longer days.
