Failing duties go 50/50. If the duty cannot complete now that's the standard.

What does that mean? How do you know if your too slow or you have too much work? How many letters and packets per hour are you expected to do? It must be based on something, I know rounds are different in area and make up, bit there must be some templates to work against?

If it’s anything like our office The standard is you will be asked to do way more work than is humanly possible and when you can’t complete RM management will say it’s your performance that’s the issue. Martin Walsh has said it’s less than we used to do and who are we to argue with someone who’s modelled this from inside an office?

That's more of a daily scenario, what is the expected amount? Anybody can say anything about a round posties or a manager, im asking what is it based on?

We have just started this week,tried to leave tracked behind as i am with someone new ,as a person in our pod has taken a sickie and fooked it up , and was told I have to fail mail instead.But they don’t prioritise tracked of course. . That's fine, less walking thanks.

More of a story about your situation, which I agree will result in less walking. I want to know what the model is based on so you can clearly demonstrate that you either have not enough or too much work.

I don’t think there’s an answer to your question.
DPR at one point was 20 Tracked an hour but that was over a spread out area. This is the situation when the PDA is your friend, just keep it moving and as long as we don’t take the piss just let your manager know and bring it back.
We r are going live in a couple of weeks.

Wasn't there a Panorama programme on a few years back saying something about what speed of walking we are meant to keep to, cant remember the actual speed. Then they had a soldier test it with a bag on his back and he struggled to go at this required speed for 4 hours or something

The pod system will only work if it’s set out properly. The single person does 2/3 of two walks one side heavy and one light. The two people do theirs plus one third of the other two (heavy and light also)
Now in the agreement they all should get help from the 50/50 walks but that doesn’t always seem to be the case.
Also no two people work the same or at the same speed.
It’s going to cause tension to say the least.

What has changed with DM is the % call rate per day that RM want you to do under DM26. It's in one of the videos somewhere.

The implication is/was that our working hours weren't being filled enough with work under the pre-DM26 % call rates. More of our working
hours should now be occupied doing work - at the same call per minute standard as pre-DM26.
