I would vote for anyone who would deliver a fair and equitable society or as near as possible - unfortunately we are stuck with a tripartite system which, certainly in my memory, has been a two horse race.

I am a supporter of real labour not new liebour, not old labour.

The Conservatives will win the next election, you can put money on it. They will win not because they have better policies, more able politicians, tell less lies, are more humanitarian, less self centred - no they will win because Labour, New, Old or Real have disenfranchised the working class who feel let down. Really despite protestations to the contrary there is only one Labour Party who is supported by right wingers, left wingers and middle of the road wingers - the Parliamentary Labour Party represents the whole of the labour movement BUT when the labour movement and the PLP move so far apart there will only be one outcome at the next election.

The Gov/PLP as well to a certain extent i belive our out of touch with their rank and file party members and natural/regular supporters.


This simply has lead to a massive struggle for the LP to get canidates at election times.


To win a election a certain amount of resources are needed and the LP is rapidly running out of them!

I've supported Labour all my life - for the first time in the May elections I didn't go to the Poll and unless there is a massive shift in policy I won't be going in the General election - I won't vote for anyone else but I won't support Labour.

I probably used the expression erroneously - it isn't really about income or status, more about what expectations you have from life or perhaps a state of mind, where you treat everyone as an equal, within reason, where it is as pleasurable to give as it is to receive - I don't know that I have explained things too clearly only that the older I have got the further I feel I am from peace of mind.

Well according to the in vogue social scientists we are all middle class now,they reckon the traditional working class has withered on the vine,hence New Labours scramble for the "middle ground".
One slight hitch is that despite expectations or aspirations this magical new middle class have an average personal debt of £34,000, excluding mortgage debt!
Anybody spot the problem with this viewpoint? Roll on the credit crunch it'll get clearer.
Also lots of Market led initiatives supported by Labour addressing social exclusion(Poor peeps not giving their money to big business: might only be pennies but the millions add up)Never ever a mention of the massive growth of the underclass,They can't lock them all up
