Manager grievances

Does a manager know if a grievance is put in against them?
Will they know it’s from myself?

It depends what you have stated in your grievance. Bear in mind there cannot be a fair process if you discuss the grievance in public.

Assuming it's sufficiently serious for HR to investigate the manager how can they realistically do that without discussing the grievance with them? If it's obvious who's made the grievance they won't need to name the person for the manager to work out who made it?
