THE Post Office sorting depot building in Llandudno has been snapped up at auction for a whopping £900,000.
The delivery office, on Maesdu Road, is let to the Royal Mail on a lease expiring in 2030, and it is understood the Post Office will remain at the site.
The Maesdu Road building was given a guide price of £850,000 plus and finally went under the hammer for £900K at a July auction with Allsopp.
The building serves as the customer service point where you can pick up missed parcels, pay delivery fees, or drop off prepaid items.
The 12,395 sq ft site provides on-site car parking for approximately 49 vehicles and has a secured yard area.
Details about the buyer of the building have not been disclosed.
Allsopp said ahead of the auction: "Llandudno is the largest coastal resort on the North Wales coast.
"The area benefits from good road communications with the A470 in close proximity, providing links to the A55 North Wales Expressway (Junction 19)
"The property is situated on the south side of Maesdu Road, close to its junction with Bodnant Road
"Occupiers close by include Howdens, Aldi, John Bright Leisure Centre and Ysgol John Bright School in a mixed commercial and residential area
"Mostyn Champneys Retail Park is located within approx. 0.6 miles with occupiers including McDonalds, B&Q, Home Bargains, TK Maxx, B&M, Halfords amongst a variety of others."
