There does not HAVE to be a post deployment repick. The agreement states that you can agree whether to have one or not.

That decision will be office dependent. Your staffing, your current duty holders within the groupings etc.
we have a few saying they want it now, never knew it was a choice for when?
so who gets to decide when a repick happens?
our com and rep have already decided for us it will be next year at the earliest and just wing it until then,
no consultation with the members here
Neither in our office ,the union are shafting us again, how many more times are they going to do this too us.

With the pod system there must be VR's coming up ,they are losing a quarter of the workforce all be it some people will be deployed in other offices and non covered duties but that will not account for all. When will these VR's be available im sure they will have no problem getting them ,i think it would be a great idea to offer it to the over 55's long servers then in 3 months time they can take on a new batch of 20 year olds on the money saving new contracts ,it makes business sense.

Lets's guess you want VR. Well your not getting it!
Of course i want it like 50% of our office :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

Dear god it’s not about shafting anyone - not every office needs to have a full repick or a resign. It depends on how many vacant walks, staffing levels, where you are in DM26 etc.

It also isn’t down to a consultation with members because members can’t force a repick if one isn’t needed.

What a load of rubbish ours is being pushed through,no consultation, its such a massive change with lots of displacement everywhere its the biggest change since 2015 and we had a resign before it started then and it definitely needs a resign now ,your either a corrupted union rep,or junior on a decent duty which your afraid to lose, sadly your words mean nothing ,we are getting shafted and everyone can see it.

Definitely should, too many in ours are sitting on never advertised nicer duties since the last cuts when seniors were forced off due to their walks being made pt etc

Unless by some miracle everyone is sitting on the duty they want in seniority order then with the amount of change this is, there should be a repick.

Have been told by the manager there will be a resign but about 6-8 weeks after DM26 starts. This is to get everyone used to the new way of working. I wont hold my breath, too many influential people with minimal seniority risk losing decent walks.

Why would anyone want a resign? A Repick of vacant walks, yes, but a resign?

Workers are reporting that this is the argument that is being advanced - there is insufficient change to trigger the process. Firstly that's not what the CWU signed up to. Secondly if an office survived the collapse of duty structures when the CWU agreed to collapse the structure for COVID and then the imposition of revisions post - 22 then it's a rarity.

Those advancing the argument that DM26 does not trigger the process are doing so to prevent the restoration of the pre-covid working conditions which empowered the rank and file. In fairness the return of that power was always going to be contested. Its on Walsh to enforce the agreement. Get ready for a LTB.

It makes no sense. Explain how putting all walks up for a resign, would get the duty structure back
