Yep, the new contracted staff all got gifted their own duties, most have only ever done 1 or 2 duties in the 3 years of being at Royal Mail, when a lot of legacy staff did 20+ different duties as a reserve before getting their own.

So I will be pissed if our office drags out/delays the repick for months or cancels it....as it's time some fairness happened and seniority was actually used for once.

Working out that about 50 offices go 'live' each week - how many are going through understaffed etc now?

We have three quarters of our dutys not all going out today The pkts and first class yeah. This is supposedly our ,,,, light period. Its nuts . We have no chance of this working at ours. DK will be happy paying the ofcom fines though as it fails all over , still make his huge profit.

My unit currently looks like it's Christmas and we're scheduled to implement DM26 on the 17th. If 'Peak' reverts to 4-on-4 and the light time of year (perfect for rolling out a new working method) is never light, then how can we ever go to 3-on-4? Maybe in fallow January it might work.
The machine stops.

Where are they finding the staff to put it back to 4 on 4 over Christmas (hate calling it “peak) I know leave is banned but it’s not going to happen is it.

Yes it will but what people are saying is there'll be extra bodies to help out like every other Christmas

In theory, no one knows how it'll work out in practice.

Will RM move them extra bodies to DOs who are understaffed?

Probably not no because in theory there won't be any understaffed as every office will have extra in the Christmas period, tbh I wouldn't really concern yourself in whether or not do's have sufficient staff or not as it doesn't affect you in any way whatsoever.

Does anybody seriously think that RM will introduce DM26 in 1.000+ offices then suddenly revert back to the present way of working during peak, then what revert back to DM26 next spring? You sense RM would sooner now see the company on its knees, mail wise, than ever accept DM26 wasn't working.
