A man is understood to have been injured following an assault at Sale tram stop on Tuesday (August 4) morning.
Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to Hope Road, Sale, shortly after 10am this morning to reports of an assault.
Police were called by North West Ambulance Services (NWAS) but was unable to provide further details.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
Reports circulating on social media said a man, who is understood to have been a postman, was assaulted and injured due to the incident.
NWAS has been approached for comment.
