We are starting 2 in 5 soon, itโ€™s looks ok, you also only work 4 days for two of the five weeks ( three only for me on bank holiday week coming later this month ๐Ÿ˜€). 8 hour days apart from Wednesday (8.30) and Saturday (7.40). The latest we go home is on Wednesday (2.55pm).
This is the rota breakdown if it helps anyone

Look at it this way. 9 day fortnights 13 Saturdays off a year...2in 5 is 20 Saturdays of a year.

So 8.5 hour day Wednesday and your finish time will be 14.55 so you'll be starting at 06.25 ? Or are you planning on finishing on a 20 minute break which is still 06.45 wish we could still start that early

The 9.16 Wednesday doesn't look very appealing to be honest, I've got a feeling that RM are going to try and stop us taking 20mins meal relief at the end of shift
With an attendance that long, I foresee us taking that second 20 minutes before starting the third frame.

I voted 2 in 5 (rather than 9 day fortnight, the only other option) simply because of the many more Saturdays off and only finishing at 1637 instead of 1657 on a Wednesday :mad
The machine stops.

I just had a chat with my local postie. They've been doing DM26 for a month now and they got to keep their Wally week rota. I asked were you offered 2 in 5 or 9 day fortnight and she said "we didnt want that rubbish".

Wally week still get the extra Saturday (2 in 5) which is tagged onto their rest week so they get 9 days plus their Wally week is now 4 on 1 off as opposed to 5 on 1 off, with AL it's not too bad.
Almost tempted me to join perm but apparently they aren't offering new starters Wally weeks so :wave
