My day started off really bad, the neighbours decided to have a row at 2.30 this morning, still arguing at 3.15 so I decided I may aswell get up :evil/mad Luckily not too bad at work, managed to find everyones items :dance Just finished, so now I'm going to have to waste the rest of my day sleeping :evil/mad :evil/mad :evil/mad :evil/mad :evil/mad :evil/mad :evil/mad
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The day went ok
Still did the job to book, still noticing the favourites do OT. Got told that I am not the only one to put in for health and safety rep, I jokingly said to the other person, "ah I see I got competition" to which he replied "don't bloody start, and that hes only found out that he was put in for it, when the manager told him and also told him that he got to apply by writing." The kicker is, that he didn't want to apply but was told he had to. Not bothered about someone else applying for it, but i found it pretty odd that a bloke whos only been a postman for a few months, given all the hours he wants, is then told hes applying for health and safety rep.

First applied for my own, all the PTS got them
Then applied to work in the Locker, thats going but another PT who only started in Nov has got it. And hes working forty odds hours every week
Applied for Trainer couch, someone else bound to get that
Now its the health and safety rep and its seems that a manager wants anothger PT who started in Jan to have it

Am I being paranoid or is something fishy going on, any advice?

Also our managers are gonna be investigated, I am putting in a statement, I am bound to be punish by them not offering me OT and putting me on different walks every day so I don't get pennies

Thes a lot more to this then am telling you but this is the basic outline from my point of view.

I am also dyspraxic and I feel the lino is being overly nice to me

Your manager has sod all to do with our union and has no say in who stands for what positions. Maybe your branch would like to know that someone is being pushed into the role by a manager?

Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.
