Age 65 benefits. Section b.

Post by Rm121 »

I have used royal mail portal, and got summary of options available.

Option 2 gives figure for
Rmpp pension
Tax free cash rmpp
Leftover cash balance fund

Do i get 25% taxfree from leftover cash balance fund, plus
remaining fund after tax?

Option 1a gives figures for:

Rmpp pension
Taxfree cash rmpp
Tax free cash balance
Leftover cash balance fund

Do I get 25% taxfree from leftover cash balance fund? Or is this figure entirely taxable?

As per the info on the online illustration – it's paid as a UFPLS. Which means the first 25% of the leftover Cash Balance is tax free.

The figures I got from this portal was a hell of a lot less than what I should get. I've just tried to open the early retirement form website and it's now closed.

It only relates to pension accrued 2012-2018 and the Cash Balance(2018-2024).
Plus any inflationary increases of Age60 benefits the RMPP are responsible for.

Everything before that is with the RMSPS.
