USO Deployment/Equality Act/DDA

Post by redlen »

With all the talk between Royal Mail and the CWU with full optimisation

What about those employees who already have a ring-fenced duty/reasonable adjustments in place?

What is going to happen to them?

They all can not go to the Mail Centre.

It's doubtful that any will be able to go to the MC as all the "DDA duties" will already be spoken for.

The agreement states that all current adjustments remain in place.

What agreement and where in that agreement does it state that?

The agreement you voted on, any DDA posties that have had their duty amended have to be able to pick a suitable duty on the office repick. So basically the duty they were probably on. The adjustments can in theory be applied to a different duty but that would mean extra planning and disruption, so probably easier to maintain the status quo.

The agreements specifically states that suitable duties should be made available to accommodate any current DDA posties, it doesn't specifically state that it has to be their current duty.
