BLUEBIRDS fan Steve Maddern is facing Wembley heartache after £400 of FA Cup final tickets went missing in the post.

The dad of one was due to attend the match against Portsmouth on May 17, with his son Andrew and two pals who were looking forward to seeing the Bluebirds in an FA Cup final since they won the trophy in 1927.

But now he fears he might have to settle for watching the historic match on telly, despite having already forked out for four tickets.

The 48-year-old of Maesteg said: “I’m very disappointed and very concerned really that I won’t get to see the FA Cup final after spending almost £400 on the tickets – they were four £95 tickets.

“My son and our two friends are pretty worried as well. It took me about two hours to pluck up the courage to tell them.â€

I can never understand why anyone takes football so seriously. It's only a game.

Opiate for the masses to borrow a phrase from Karl Max - also its a way Multi Millionares can get more money from the working class, but I do tend to agree, people have died in the past just becuase they supported a particular team - madness

For once I agree with you Lounge Lizard,why anybody would pay £95.00 to watch a load of Jessies run round kicking a ball and hugging and kissing each other is beyond me.
