Employee and industrial relations reset
This is from the ltb 112/26:-
'The company has also agreed that critical to the successful deployment of USO
Reform will be the reset of Employee and Industrial Relations. A plan for this reset
will be published in the next two weeks.'
Anyone heard anything?

Re: Employee and industrial relations reset
I won't hold my breath for the toxic culture to leave this business, but would very much welcome it....
Royal Mail also needs workers who stay.... being toxic does not help that.

Re: Employee and industrial relations reset
If I had an electrical appliance that reset as frequently as our industrial relations I'd think it was broken.
The machine stops.

Re: Employee and industrial relations reset
Only been in RM a relatively short time compared to others, but the number of times I've heard that there's an agreement that includes a 'reset' of relations and nothing ever changes.......

Re: Employee and industrial relations reset
So this is from LTB 112/26 dated 15th April, fourth paragraph in the agreement:-
'The need to urgently deliver a positive reset in Employee & Industrial Relations and a
fresh start in the way the business is run at all levels and in every workplace. The
detailed plan to implement this will be published to all employees, managers and CWU
representatives in the next two weeks.'
It is now the 22nd June.

Re: Employee and industrial relations reset
Most should be aware by now that when Dave Frauds CWU make a promise with a timescale then you add anywhere between 18 weeks and 3 years on top of the date given and sometimes it doesn’t even happen and gets forgotten in the mists of time.Pressure72 wrote: ↑22 Jun 2026, 17:20So this is from LTB 112/26 dated 15th April, fourth paragraph in the agreement:-

At this point it feels like CWU are completely powerless, what will it take for them to ballot for strike action in future disputes?….a company that see such weak and pathetic union will just take endless liberties knowing this mob won’t ever ballot again…so but we are f****d

I doubt people will vote for a strike again after the union just rolled over when they had a massive mandate for strike action during the last dispute.Valentina@1 wrote: ↑22 Jun 2026, 18:22At this point it feels like CWU are completely powerless, what will it take for them to ballot for strike action in future disputes?….a company that see such weak and pathetic union will just take endless liberties knowing this mob won’t ever ballot again…so but we are f****d

Re: Employee and industrial relations reset
I believe, with the passage of time, that will eventually be collectively acknowledged as the approximate date the CWU ceased to function as an effective trade union. Like Rome, it'll shamble on for quite a while afterwards but retrospection will reveal February 2023 as the most significant singular instance of decline.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑22 Jun 2026, 21:23I doubt people will vote for a strike again after the union just rolled over when they had a massive mandate for strike action during the last dispute.
At best, in the metaphor of falling down the stairs we're currently rolling along the landing.
The machine stops.

Re: Employee and industrial relations reset
Talk or a reset in relations is just that all Talk. Until everyone is treated equal it's just another box ticking excercise. And everyone is treated differently. That's an absolute fact thats never changed.. Ever. In fact it'll only get worse with the new job changes.
