Nice to see dm26 a great success at one of the trial offices we cannot wait for it to be implemented at our office since the last disastrous revision we were told that our office needs walks putting back in this was 18 months ago nothing has happened our rep was told last week we could have 5 instead of 10 walks but the delivery points would have to stay on the existing frames so he walked out of the meeting and we are now in dispute he has pulled all cooperation from the implementation what a joke this is becoming.

I'm not convinced, for example looking at our duties in the group of 3 the singleton person will be responsible for 2/3rds of everything on one duty so baring in mind it'll be 2 days mail at best they'll "gain" about an hour to play with, however they have to do parcels/1c/collections/postboxes on 2/3rds of another duty which typically will have approx 80-100 trackeds even now it's a bit quieter so basically in the remaining time of approximately 2 hours taking into account it's a longer working day due to the extra Saturday off they'll have to do 60 - 75 trackeds plus 1c plus any collections/postboxes, it's not going to happen.

Nothing we can do about it. Throwing it at offices that are already unable to clear/uneven workloads and the obvious is going to happen.
Buckle up!
we could have 5 instead of 10 walks but the delivery points would have to stay on the existing frames
They chuck RM2000 frames into a skip whenever a walk gets removed and then it seems to be impossible to acquire new ones because no-one can comprehend being in a situation where walks have to be put back in. Can't even get spare wings - we've got some duties entirely double slotted into just four columns.
If your below 30 years of age and very fit you will be totally fine. This is how RM sees its "team" of workers. Not the true facts of the matter.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Problem is if your below 30 and very fit with any kind of work ethic then working for the minimum wage at RM is not going to be very attractive, particularly now that you can't even earn a decent OT rate.
Question: on the Saturday before DM26 is implemented in an office, are all the walks clear?
Given all the failing offices, I wonder how much a unit can blow on OT to dig themselves out of a hole so as not to doom it out of the gate.
It would be difficult not to start with a clean sheet. Part of the go/no go process is identifying walks that cannot complete. It's a bit tricky as the failures have been happening since 2022. However if a unit does not start DM26 in a good position it will be difficult.
