The Royal Mail says it is investigating after a video of a person driving one of its vans was filmed running over a duck.
The clip has been widely shared on social media and is understood to have taken place on Monday, June 8.
A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “We are very sorry this happened. It was upsetting to see and we understand why people are concerned.
“The driver has told us he did not see the ducks until it was too late.
“We are treating this very seriously, are investigating fully, and have reminded colleagues to take extra care in the area.”
