I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Unfortunately there is a huge wage gap difference from new recruits to legacy workers that will take a decade to erase. It's more like a three or four tier pay structure for doing the same job . So many ridiculous allowances are given to some individuals that some could be earning Upto £1000 a week I give you an example or two of two I heard . One driver transferred in from cashco trains and had certain premiums that he kept and went on the driving. It's suggested he was near to the £1000 mark every week where others only picked up their 7.5 allowance. The others I've heard is absolutely absence .. you can work alongside others who had London weighting , phg, team leadership but never do it , tpm but rarely do it but it's protected and some monthly allowance from their old office the union negotiated 30 years ago and of course the cash co allowance . Add all that up and you're looking at a hefty amount. People could know the CWU but without them you'd of been on bare minimal money compared to superstar wages.

I think the new owner will want this sorted sooner rather than later imho
