Drop Box Contents

Post by cj_1985 »

Having been out doing solo walks this week iv had a bit more experience with the drop boxes that i had when working with a trainer...

what im wondering is how much crap is left in your pouch boxes....

for example the boxes on the walk i did on wednesday were stuffed with the bags we sort packages into... meaning when i put the puch bag into the box the bag was sitting at an angle alost about to tip over/out of the box...

is this normal?
if there really the need for so many bags to be kept in the Pouch Box?

No they should be cleared on a daily basis.

If your driver drops your bags off for you ask
him/her nicley and they might take them back to the D/O for you.
if your spare and doing different walks all the time
then it may be a bit more common to find them filled
with all sorts of stuff, this is just down to lazy postmen
not emptying them

YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!

So untill you get your own walk or spend any length of time on a walk
this my friend is what you may find.

if you're still not on a regular walk of your own, I wouldn't let it bother you.

what I've done in the past, is take all of them out, stuff them into one, and put it back in the drop box - fills it right up and the drivers gotta take them all out to get your bag in. :chuckle

Our drivers dont! They take so many bundles out of our bag then squeeze the bag in and then push the bundles down the side of the bag

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Mouldy undelivered Door2Doors, you should have seen the DOMs face when I dumped a whole coffin full of them outside his office taken out of the boxes on a duty I was covering! :Very Happy

Not only was a walkman "swinging" it by not deliverying the D2Ds the regular driver must have been a lazy s**t.

One driver once found some packets that had been left there over a year before! No one ever used the box - All used cars - Wilful delay maybe? The DOM just told the Postie to redeliver them. Super Customer Service, more like a cover up!
