There are blokes in our office whose knees should be covered up by law as they are a really frightening sight guaranteed to scare small children and horses!

And if they are so hot on uniform projecting a good image of the business why do they insist on employing people with Manpower splashed across their green hi-vis jackets and all dressed far more casually than the postie in the picture? :hmmmm

Its not unreasonable to expect staff to wear proper uniform items...
if he has gained a little he should spek to his manager...

when i ordered my uniform trousers i ordered the size that i thought i was...
when i recieved them they were... extremely snug... to say the least...
i just spoke to my manager and explained that they dont fit me despite the fact i ordered the correct size
he was fair enough and told me what to do...

i suppose it depends on if he could speak to his manager.

i do agree with the comment that there are some guys that shouldnt wear shorts full stop.
although id say that no one should ever wear shorts ... personal opinion

But why so heavy handed?

The button came off my work pants - how many pairs of pants had he - just the one? I was a soldier and we always said there was 2 sizes - too big or too small. If you wanted to look as smart as possible we would have them tailored to fit at our own expense of course, not turn up in something similar.

Someone said these work pants are too hot! Too hot - half the time it feels like I have no trousers on when the wind blows - I have heard wearing women's tights under them helps BUT just imagine if you were run over and had to go to hospital!!!!!
Why didn't they just quietly take him on one side, and suggest solutions?
If he knows that he's between sizes, then he must have ordered replacements in the next size up. :hmmmm Not everyone is bright enough to realise that wearing a belt solves the problem. :d'oh! But that is no reason to call the Police. Particularly when his Wife works there, and is heavily Pregnant! :evil/mad :Sick :arrrghhh :evil/mad

At the very least, the manager's actions were irresponsible.

I have never worn RM trousers or RM shorts in the five years I have worked for RM, I have no idea what woman modeled for the ladies uniform, but they had a tiny waist and huge legs!
I had many comment on my very short bright blue shorts two years ago, but just from the pervs in the office.
Last year I wore my boyfriends long shorts and this year I have some new blue shorts mid-length.
I have only ever been told off when wearing jeans to work, never for the shorts or trousers.
:confused Different offices different rules?

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has issues with the trousers, they are bloody ridiculous
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Its the same for us blokes. If mine fit in length then they are too wide at the waist like clowns trousers. But if they fit my waist then they are about 2 inches short in length.

Yet when I buy mine own suits/trousers I have no problem finding ones to fit. :so there

Have you tried ordering the mens trousers (I know some of the women in my DO have changed to them)
