What do you all drink in the hot weather? Is plain water enough? Tablet or sachets of electrolyte added to it? Nice cup of hot tea lol?

More water than usual. Electrolyte sachet or two if you want. If not, then use a bit more salt than normal, sea salt being the best.

In really hot weather like in the southeast now and next week, can you cut off as you feel it's unsafe to continue? Would you be disciplined for that?

As soon as I get up, I have half a pint of water with a good pinch of baja sea salt. A small amount of water with my breakfast half an hour later, then, as I’m on my walk, around two pints of water over a four hour period.
