There you see - nothing is ever wasted - you've learned something and my opinion is the same as it ever was - teachers are overpaid and under worked and if people were honest they feel that teachers have far too many weeks doing nothing but prepare the script for the next mugging of the public purse.

When you look at the two pay scales and the contribution each makes - there is no comparison.

Very true, there IS no comparison.
Signing off now, still wondering WTF Armed Forces pay scales have to with Teacher's pay, and what point such a nonsensical comparison was supposed to make.
Maybe the big debate tomorrow will be bus driver's pay Vs midwive's pay?

Game set and match to TheLord I'd say ,unless of course you believe every worker in the UK is a part time postie filling in their time with part time teaching. City bonuses ,who needs them?
