There will be an update on Tuesday when the pay rise and back pay will be paid for old contracts.

There is over 100 thousand employees on the pay roll it has always taken 6 to 8 weeks to change the codes on pay , allowances, overtime and SA and calculate the backpay into PSP. PSP is antiquated and a very clunky system which is why Royal Mail are in the process of upgrading to a new system.

We all will await with expectation, this is about the cost-of-living crisis not seen since the Covid-19 We all need help at this time with the never-ending war in the Middle East. When is the back pay due and payrise due to the 1st of April 2026 and hit our pay accounts? And will this be linked by the DM26 VOTE as managers are saying?

One don't take the lords name in vein and two managers are telling staff that the payrise is linked to DM26 while managers have been communicating this our union is silent. As a member of the CWU we should be fully informed of all developments they act on our behalf, and we all pay them if the CWU CANNOT GET THIS FACT THEY ARE IN FACT WORSE THAN ROYALMAIL.

Call me cynical, and I know the pay rise is supposedly unrelated to the ballot on DM26, but is it purely a coincidence that they are saying it will be paid on the first pay date after the ballot result is known? Would it surprise anyone if the result of the vote is a resounding no if the pay increase is suddenly delayed?

Doesn't matter the outcome of the vote it's consultative only.
