In a response to a question on FB MW has suggested some DO's maybe able to ove their start times forward by upto 15 mins

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18oxdzbbyv/
They said that 2 years ago when the network window changed. I don't know a single office that got better times after the review, and anytime people asked about it they were ignored.

Shorter hours on a Saturday does not necessarily mean an earlier finish, could well be you just start later

We're currently 7.15 so it's also going to be longer for us :thumbdown

[/No it will be an earlier finish but that time has to be made up elsewhere which will obviously be weds/thurs making them extra longer days.

Thats a good point - apparently the Sunday crew are now out working till 5pm!
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

I don’t think that short a day will be compatible with the new attendance patterns on a Saturday given there will be practically half the staff numbers in and all packets and 1C needing to go. Not to mention the week aheads door to doors prepped, for the whole office. I might be wrong though.

However the business cuts it FT's can only work 37 hours a week (apart from the old new contracts) if they expect posties to work longer in the week they can do longer Saturdays as well.

Yeah, none of the options give you a short* Saturday anymore.

They go from 7hr 40 for most options like 2 in 5 etc, up to 8hr 25 mins (eek) for a 4 day week. Be careful what you you vote for.

*The only way you are getting a 6hr Saturday or close to it, is a 9 day fortnight, the second option. The kicker? 8.5hr to 9.25hr days during the week.
The answer to how these new duties are going to be achieved time wise is, in some cases, buried in the new attendance times.

7hr delivery on a 9hr 15 minutes day anyone?
