New duty structures

While I think RM have the reasonable 'right' to change our hours, I oppose walks being made longer than the 3.5 hours.

This is another cost cutting exercise, which puts our health and well being at risk. The longer hours will stop people from claiming overtime, stop people 'cutting off' and eventually lead to posties covering those on holiday/sick.

I have the horrible feeling that we will get the 35 hr week, but RM will ask for longer deliveries because of the high level of automation that they are aiming for. But as my union rep said you can aim for the moon is does not mean you will reach it.

4 day week for those on less than 40 hours would work well in my D.O

Could bring them up to 3.5 hour delivery span.

I like the idea of every delivery being 3.5 hours and then AG can simply take their chance in a resign, at the moment we have 6 smaller dels specifically for AG. Change that to 5 and the spare person becomes a floater to cover the extra day off a week if they move to a 4 day week.

Won't be long before RM have you doing a three hour walk then break and then three again!!
You get more rest days but you will be too f____d to enjoy them.
I will have nothing to do with them!!

Could someone who has experience of 4 day week duties please PM me an example of how the duties are structured, how they work in a set, rotations etc? Many thanks.

I've got your PM,i'm really behind on stuff,ironically because of our 4 day week revision but PM johnnypick the Moderator he has been doing it for years.
