Can anybody also understand why the NHS are still using the DSA service to send out letters, today on my duty I was told to take just 1c and NHS letters

I have recently had 2 NHS letters.
One telling me I am eligible for a lung cancer screening test but then telling me that as a non smoker I am not.
The second letter told me they are going to send me a bowel cancer screening test.
Both of them were completely unimportant.

It isn't much fun getting old.

You are not kidding. I had a lung cancer test letter. I rang the number. The lady said have you ever smoked ? I said never . She replied "OK that's all goodbye " and hung up. Never mind the years of passive smoking and breathing all those vehicle fumes.
NHS I'm afraid has become a sad joke.

RESOLUTION OF RMG & CWU DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCESSES -
DEPLOYMENT OF USO REFORM AND EQUALISATION OF NEW ENTRANTS’ PAY,
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Negotiations continued over the weekend, and we are pleased to announce that we have
today reached a negotiators’ agreement on both Dispute Resolution Processes relating to
the deployment model for USO reform and the equalisation of new entrants’ pay, terms
and conditions.

So they have agreed a model.
You'd like to think that they will explain how it is going to work, standardised attendance patterns across the board, maximum duty sizes/call rates, instead of throwing the model at every office and hope it sticks.
Some offices are once over the ground, others use DPR and LATS.
Some have all single vans with 100% driving staff, others have a mix of HCT, Single Vans, Shared vans and going by what I've seen on here up to 30% non driving staff.
Some are Wallington, others 9 day fortnight, others 1 in 4 or 6 Saturdays. Others 4 day week.
Some offices are 100% rural.
I have my doubts that one size will fit all.

Well the last attempt, the ODM, worked in some and failed in others due to those differences between offices. There needs to either be a different plan for each office to allow for each offices 'quirks', or each office moves to a similar way of working to adopt what looks like a fixed/singular model they have come up with.

I'm not sure how annual leave would be affected though? If it's in the system, then it's been granted already.

Most people in our office book their leave around their rest days/weeks so any change of shift pattern would have a big impact.

And if they did remove Wallington for example they would have a lot of staff with another weeks leave to fit in somewhere.

There's also a possible scenario that if it comes to an office vote people could be forced on to a Wallington shift and would loose a week of annual leave

Anything that is pre booked before any major change occurs has always been honoured, it usually causes an issue in the first year but in my experience it just get winged. I could be totally wrong but I just don't see RM delaying any further on this so people can keep their current days/weeks off. Probably the same reasons why there will be less attendance patterns to 'choose' from - what was it in the ODM - something like 7?

Same principle applies, if you've booked or planned something around either your day off/Wallington week off before a major change, then that has to be honoured. Always been the case.

Unless I misread the last update I thought everything had already been agreed before Easter and a reps meeting already set for this Wednesday?

Regardless I assume we'll now finally hear what's been agreed tomorrow.
