Sick - annual leave
I’m currently off sick (have been now since September 2025), and will soon be on statutory sick pay. Am I allowed to use annual leave in place of this? I seem to have 34 hrs carried over from last year. Am I allowed to request this in cash?

I'm happy to be corrected but I think if they do that when you're on 'holiday' it marks you as being back at work so after that it's as though you've gone off sick again which could cause issues, hopefully someone else will be able to give a definite answer or maybe you could ask HR.

If done correctly (This is RM!!) then yes you can use some of your holiday entitlement to offset the move onto half pay/SSP - hr/payroll should not mark you as being back off sick leave (if you aren't) but can use the 34 hours to carry on paying you your normal rate
