Astonished that the RM hierarchy haven’t pulled the plug on this payment yet. They never usually miss an opportunity to save money when it comes to the rank & file on the shop floor…
“Shorts,in this weather?!”

“If they’re bills I don’t want ‘em!”

“What’s she been ordering now?”

If you like meeting new people, this is the role for you. Then when they leave after a week you can meet another new person. Every week, until you also pack it in!
Every week no chance. Some not even trained anyone , money wasted

Absolutely 💯 there's nothing that they are supposed to do that either isn't a manager's job or could be undertaken by an existing member of staff (yes it's s**t getting a new start paired up with you but come on a lot of other places it's like that, there should be something to compensate like getting a portion of workload taken off)

Million percent bud

There is a daily allowance if you train a new entrants about 7 bucks

Definitely No point for coaches now and most are not up to the role they are just interested in the cash plus there had picked managers pets

I'm shocked it's not been pulled to be honest

I'm shocked that offices with 2 managers haven't been pulled yet

Our 2 managers do postman's work till 11AM now so it shows you that you don't need 2 manager in a office its pointless if they can do postman's work till that time .

That saving would be tremendous

RM is great at giving employees little allowances and then never bothering to see if those employees are actually doing the task that the allowance is paid for.
TPM was another one. Pointless.

Got a "substitute" DOM in whilst ours in on holiday. He pretty much admitted that there`ll be a lot more tasks put upon the WPCs. So we said, "he`ll be the manager`s bitch in other words?" He smiled and went "Pretty much". So it`s basically a "go between" between management and posties.

Probably easy money a few years back but now with the big turnover of staff you will more than likely always be with a new starter on your round after 6 weeks (max).

No chance. Our wpc s. Do nothing for months on end. 3 never trained a single person , the staff no long in the job, dont get paid for dtds, lower wage than us , longer hours, then you get a position(wpc) getting money for nothing all over the uk. Incredible its still getting paid out ( on holidays too)

They've been saying that rumour for at least the last 10 years basically inferring that the wpc will become a sort of team leader type position rather than have as many managers but nothing has changed, in that 10 years ours and probably loads of other wpc's have pocketed nearly 20 grand and in return done very little.
