Anyone know when the cycle to work scheme will be up and running again?

It looks like it's been completely stopped now. Another benefit that has been taken away.

The reality is, like purchase of annual leave, we don’t earn enough above minimum wage to pay for the bike and still be above minimum wages.

Some offices are stopping vehicle retention (this will need a separate topic), these employees are asking about cycling to work as there’s no public transport, only to be told the scheme is not open

RM absolutely have to stay within the law, therefore they have no option.

The option would be to pay people above the threshold, as it has been for years. All part of the race to the bottom. Cycle to Work, was something like a thousand pounds over 2 years, £10 a week or 35pence per hour, which for most legacy would be well above the threshold, if it was 1 year, £20 a week or 75p per hour

It's not just cycle to work, it's most benefits on my bundle.

Wage has got worse in comparison with cost of living, sick rates have got worse, my bundle benefits have gone, work load gone up, later finishing times and so on. The list goes on of how bad since COVID royal mail have treated us.

I get it could be much worse but what's the point in spending a few quid a week on a union if the jobs just getting worse every year.

Catch-22 - he needs the Cycle 2 Work scheme to get a bike to Norman Tebbit for another job that has the scheme.
The machine stops.
