For it is without our consent and numerous time's we have said NO! And royalmail went and forced it's self on us all against our wish'es? For is this not RAPE and if we do now have a say after the crime has been commited?. Will we be recompennced for violation's of the LAW!. HELL NO YOU WILL NOT YOU HAVE TO FIGHT FOR IT AND NOW!.FOR NOW IS OUR TIME TO STRIKE WHILE THE IRON IS HOT OUR CAUSE IS JUST AND FAIR!. LET'S MAKE A STAND ONE AND ALL!.

Feel free. Pack some sandwiches and stand out there. Unless you can come up with a magic formula for finding the money, a strike won't work. Why do you think the CWU hasn't called one?

The money is there but the government want it because they've screwed up the public finances so badly. Last year RM made over Â£1billion before pensions which is not bad for a failing company

Whose money do you think the government work with. You REALLY think the entire country will back paying into our pension when private ones are already in a mess? Get real. Next you'll be describing it as 'government money' or some other nonsense.....

If the government are willing to put xxx billions into private banks then they should at least let RM pay whatever profits it makes into the pension fund without it demanding that RM pay over xxx millions into the government coffers.

I never said that the government pay into the pension scheme through the taxes but that RM should pay into the pension scheme what they promised from what they are making/going to make.

Well I suppose RM could use the money that together with postcomm they have already agreed to use to fund the current deficit over the next 17 years. That does'nt involve the entire country giving us a handout, it comes from money that our hard work has earned.

For they the labourGOV.con have spent all the money on furnishing their second house's and installed plasma tv's!. I wonder if royalmail got the one's that they did not want?.IS NOW NOT THE TIME TO REJECT THE POLITIC'S OF GREED AND MORE GREED!. Wake up and smell the Coffee Night Tonic!

We have to help bail out the irrisponsible gamblers (sorry Bankers!), who lost Billions of Pounds of our Money on bad Credit Risks. Why did they gamble?
Because people who get behind on their payments, but still pay up in the end, give the biggest profits! They pay extra interest, and charges. However, they gambled too much on this market, and lost out badly, because so many were completely unable to pay up.

The Government is now pumping huge amounts of our money into the Banking System, to bail these fools out. Of course, they are trying to play down the irrisponsible lending.

There were people taking out huge Mortgages. Several times what they earn in a year, with crippling payments.

Is it any wonder that there were so many who couldn't keep up?
Especially when the Interest Rates went up.

Personally, I live in a Council House. The reason is, that I can't afford a Mortgage for a similar House easily. I could of course buy this one, as I'd get a discount for living in it for so long. But then where would the replacement come from, for future Generations?

The government can't bail out RM on this - they're not allowed to under EU rules. Now, if you were to picket the EU parliament they might just listen to you.

I don't think that the Government should bail out RM but that RM should put all those profits that would otherwise go to the Government into the pension fund

No they're not, because of the enforced changes to the pension scheme they are going to get away with paying less into the pension over the next 17 years because the deficit won't be as big, so all that means is more profit for the government (and of course the city bankers whenever RM is eventually sold).

looks like most will not strike,must be the 64% of blind postal workers (THEY KNOW WHO THEY ARE

) they now regret accepting royal mails blood money,Â£400 will not even pay for their fuel in their cars to deliver the mail.an industrial action ballot should take place now,cant stomach striking? work to rule,far more effective ,far more enjoyable,mad dave is ready to call us out,silly billy is busy dealing with matters which do not concern the cwu,only the gang of 10 will support us.shame we dont have the crowman as our union ceo.

The pension defecit is easy to sort out, just ask the Goverment for the Â£5.2 billion it took out of Royal Mail for 20 years whilst taking a pension holiday, if it can give Â£55 billion to a Northern Rock, who havnt given anything to Goverment, then why not, after all we are not asking for a free handout are we, we are just asking for our profit back, easy.
Ive also noticed that Hutton MP has gone up to the fuel refinery in Scotland to try and help negotiate a settlement, he wasnt so helpfull or understanding when we were in dispute was he, maybe their dispute is a bit politically damaging to goverment than ours was.
