Life is certainly different from my days as a postie

Though this does remind me of the first RM van I drove :chuckle

Merry Christmas to all posties, current or retired

Roast turkey? No, not this year. I fancy something different

S4W! Love you long time mate, hope things are well.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Nice! I go to Thailand for a few weeks every winter to escape the cold and dark here. I have considered moving there but as I'm in my 70s now I think I may need to have access to the NHS at some point, even if it might not be as good as it was.
Season's Greetings Straight4ward!

Ah, most of my hair has gone, my skin is like a wrinkled prune, the enamel on my teeth is rapidly disappearing and my capacity for alcohol has diminished in direct corelation to the size of my ever-enlarging prostate. What's not to love about old age?

POSTMAN good to see you're still maintaining the site for all of us. Best wishes to you always! Bring on 2026 you can handle it.

Thanks Baldrick,
You're probably far wiser than me. It was a calculated risk for me - walk away from free health care at the time of life when I was most likely to need it, to spend my few remaining years in the place I wanted to be.
Much to my surprise I've managed 7 years so far.
