IDS are under no obligation to reveal their profits on a quarterly basis, so we'll have to wait another 3 months to for the final results for details to be revealed.

RM as part of its parent company (IDS) did not publicly break out a specific Xmas profit figure (thats not how results reporting works) and is also not obliged to release its quarterly profits on the spot.

For the financial year ending March 2025, RM returned to an adjusted operating profit of about £12 million - its first annual profit in 3 years, whereas IDS reported profits of around £278 million on total group revenues of £13.1 billion for that year
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

The postal industry is a multi-billion pound industry which pays some workers millions. It also pays hundreds of thousands to many workers. We create those billions. Regardless of when it is there's plenty of money for some and no money for others.

Now the company is delisted from the stock market I don't think they have to give out any information

My secret source has told me that revenue during the peak Xmas period jumped up just over £1b, but due to the massive influx of extra staff needed and extra overtime to do a job well done, the final profit for the said period was £1.24p.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
