Looks like if you prepare for your retirement you end up losing out on POAL
It looks at: Hourly rate

Any salary-sacrifice reductions (e.g. Pension salary exchange, lump sum booster, other benefits)

Your working pattern and variable hours if your pay drops too low, you wont pass the check.
PSE adj RMCPP EE <<< is that the pension ?

PSE adj LSB EE <<< this is the booster ?

So even with these 2 figures taken into account i would still at least be able to get 1 week Right ?

£14.22 is the wage
£13.02 is the wage after taking off the PSE's
Based min wage @ aprils amount £12.71
Money left in the pot is £0.31 << this is without the April payrise

Amount needed for 2 weeks POAL (might not be doing the maths right so please correct me)
Weekly wage x 2 / 52 / 37 = £0.54 (just shy of £0.23 for whole 2 weeks)

Weekly wage x2 for the 2 extra weeks
/ 52 your paying for 2 extra weeks over a year
/ 37 the hours you are contracted to

How do you even check? I've been on that new awful app, gone to MyBundle+ and can't see anything where to apply?

You're almost there, go on MyBundle+ select my benefits and it's the 2nd option, annual leave purchase.

Ok thanks, I got the message 'You are seeing this page because either you have not passed the Annual Leave Purchase (POAL) check and can now access the alternative Additional Leave Unpaid (ALU), see details below,'.

Bit weird because I've over 11 years, and had POAL for the last 10. Suppose I'll try and email them, cheers x

Just take ALU instead and put some money by each week to cover it.

No more purchase of annual leave for the new contracts according to my app.
Every day is a new slap in the face
this place makes me want to top myself
But its OK worse we are treated the slower I walk 😃
Love it here
Cant wait to watch it fail 🥳
I can't purchase any either and i've been with Royal Mail since 2015. Not just new contracts being shafted, seemingly.
Weird shouldn't the old contracts be over minimum wage so no excuse not to get it!?!?

Alu can be cancelled by your manager at any time.

You can only take a maximum of 2 days alu at any one time to minimise disruption.

You accrue annual leave and taking alu will reduce that.

If you are in an understaffed office you will not get it.

The union have a lot to answer for on this.

Making people take alu will give management a way to blackmail/bully staff.

This must also mean that any my bundle benefits are now no longer available to anyone.

Where’s Martin Walsh on this ?

Old contracts are over min wage but pension payments and lump sum booster eat into the salary sacrifice pot, guess who did the POAL system check were been very conservative as all old contracts should have enough to at least get 1 week.
