Just tried to apply for POAL through my benefits and it says i'm not eligible, despite using POAL for the past 9 years. Has the criteria changed? I won't be using the alternative, ALU. Is this a stealth removal of POAL in its previous form?

Edit: Just seen the date on the above post. Our COM told us the window opened today, hence the confusion. Apologies.

That doesn't really answer the question, I'm also not eligible but can't see I'd drop below the MWW for just one extra day's annual leave when I'm on a legacy contract?

The letter says the window for applying for POAL opens on 9th Feb. :arrrghhh

At the moment, i doubt if anyone fits the criteria.

Perhaps wait a week and see what happens.....

You maybe correct but it's odd the screen states that whilst I'm not eligible for POAL I can still apply for ALU rather than just suggest that it doesn't go live until the 9 Feb so check back when it does go live, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we're not all getting the same message on the 9th as it looks a standard message to me.

Yeah, wait till the 9th feb and then try.

What i will point out is that if you have any other mybundle+ purchases such as laptops or cycle to work etc then those will also be taken into account for the eligibility check, so make sure you don’t have any of those if you want to maximise your chances of qualifying for POAL.

Funny thing is the Mybundle+ website will probably crash on mon 9th feb with 125,000 people trying to secure their POAL :chuckle

Either it’s not open yet or absolutely no one is eligible because there are full time legacy contract people in my office between 15-20 years and it’s says they’re not eligible.

They also have no other my bundle benefits and if they’re not eligible the no one will be.

The check does not include shift allowances, weekend premiums etc it is purely calculated on your basic.

So….quite possibly all OPG’s may not qualify.

I wonder if this is a ruse so managers and CWU hierarchy can continue to get POAL and not have the whole thing scrapped?

(and offer unpaid leave as a sweetener?)

Hmmmm………..

Word on the Robin app is that there are no mybundle+ items available to purchase from april and shockingly…………..OPG’s are just 4p above min wage from april.

So……i don’t think anyone under manager level is getting POAL

You will be told you can have it ALU (unpaid) then you try booking that unpaid leave……..

We had a letter a few months back telling those of us that are already doing POAL to book the time off as normal on our annual leave forms....

Which I have done.

Now they are saying we have to do it via MyBundle from next Monday.

This is a complete mess.

So obviously we have to scrap the week we already booked for it that they told us to book!
