Anyone know where the CWU have disappeared to? Not a murmur on social media, no comment about the failures or the future .

I assume you mean the leadership because the reps are in offices every day. There are meetings happening at the end of this month.

Probably still on their extended Christmas break kicking back with a smile knowing they are on 100k+ and fleecing the members.
Seriously though it is a bloody disgrace, middle of January and no updates about new entrants equalising and the impending USO change we will all be put through this year. Wish there was a way we could sweep them all out and then vote in a new breed of cwu officials with half the salary and a performance related bonus which means they actually have to gain results for the members. These two at the top are completely taking the piss out of every one of us.

The CWU can only update us on equalisation/ODM when RM agree to do something? At the moment no news is good news for most union members, as it means no further ODM changes are imminent.

Area reps visited before Christmas to say that our office and one close by were likely to have ODM pushed through early 2026 without agreement from the CWU, no movement as yet 🫣

I’m a union member(I must be nuts) and I think the hierarchy running it are a bunch of con men riding a wave towards their giant pensions on the back of members who they either ignore or outright sell out.
There are still some good local reps around but the leadership are some of the biggest grifters you will come across in society.

Why don’t you step up to the plate and make a difference ? You are very good at talking people down.

The Comms department is currently being reorganised. First casualty is CWU Live.
