EVRI have sacked another driver in Salisbury after four undelivered parcels mysteriously appeared outside the Journal office.
On Monday, January 12, the team here at the Journal arrived at our office on Milford Street to find four large parcels sitting outside.
The parcels were addressed to four different people at four different addresses within the SP1 postcode and had been delivered by Evri.
One of the parcels left at our office belonged to Russell Waters from Salisbury Printing, which is based on Greencroft Street, just a three-minute walk away.
Russell collected his parcel on Tuesday, January 13 and said: "I had a proof of delivery email from Evri on Saturday [January 10] with a picture of a pile of parcels with the Salisbury Journal logo in the background.
"This means that my parcel had been sitting outside the wrong office over the weekend. The picture was actually quite helpful in the end because it showed me where my parcel was, but I don't understand why Evri couldn't have delivered it to us or if they had to leave it, leave it outside our place.
"I was away over the weekend, but other companies like Royal Mail would have given me the option to say I wasn't in and to deliver it another day, but Evri don't seem to do that."
On December 22, 2025, The Journal reported that an Evri delivery driver had been sacked after parcels went missing in Salisbury.
Evri had confirmed to the Journal in December that a driver had been sacked as all of the missing parcels had the Van 68 stamp on them.
The four parcels that showed up at our office on Monday, January 12, also had the same Van 68 stamp.
Evri has since confirmed that the van number is "unrelated/connected to any courier delivering a parcel."
In response, an Evri spokesperson has said: "This falls below the high standards we expect, and we’re very sorry to the small number of customers impacted.
"We have recovered the parcels, and they are going back out for delivery.
"We have identified the driver responsible, and they will no longer be delivering on behalf of Evri.
"The overwhelming majority of our couriers are highly regarded by customers with an average star rating of 4.6 out of 5, and we’re committed to delivering every parcel with care."
