I would never have a manager actually inside my home. I would sit in a chair at the front door with my coat on. Never allow them inside. Talk to them whilst they stand outside. Nearly every person I have known to have worked for royal mail, as a manager, has not been anywhere close to being a person of even reasonable character. You could have children or elderly relatives in the house and they should not be exposed to this type. I knew someone who let a manager in their house to suddenly find them opening and closing draws. When he asked them what they were doing, the manager said they were looking for royal mail scissors. Never let them in. I have known four managers involved in violence, four involved in fraud, two sacked for theft, one sacked for harassment, and three arrested. Three are up for sexual harassment at the moment.

If you are medically unfit for work then you can and should refuse to go in and not agree to any home visits. They cannot stop your sick pay if you are genuinely unwell, have informed them that you are sick and are not refusing all contact - and that contact while you are sick is by phone.

Surely thats a matter for the police if some manager is suddenly searching around your own home?? Surely your post is a wind up?
