In the weeks leading up to Christmas 2025, we were contacted by customers from across Northern Ireland facing long waits for orders to be delivered by the parcel firm.

An overwhelming majority of Belfast Live readers say they have been impacted by the delays to Evri parcels.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas 2025, Belfast Live was contacted by customers from across Northern Ireland who said they faced long waits for orders to be delivered by the parcel firm.

The company has previously issued an apology for the delays and said parcels are processed seven days a week at its site at Mallusk, Co Antrim. They added that extra resources had been recruited to help in advance of the busy Christmas shopping period especially for online sales.

Evri insisted that the overwhelming majority of parcels in Northern Ireland would arrive on time and in good condition ahead of Christmas.

The parcel firm was responding after a local MP raised concerns over "delivery failures ahead" of Christmas.

Robin Swann MP wrote to the company after a number of his constituents contacted his office to complain about poor parcel delivery services in the run-up to Christmas.

According to Mr Swann, in recent weeks, constituents in South Antrim have reported parcels not being delivered, inadequate proof of delivery photographs (often showing blank or black images) and difficulty accessing effective customer support, with heavy reliance on automated systems rather than direct assistance.

We asked readers in a recent poll if they had been impacted by the delays to Evri parcels. A whopping 774 of you said yes they had while just 77 answered no.

Just days before Christmas, the parcel delivery company said it was "urgently investigating" after a number of parcels were allegedly found in a driveway, some miles from their destination.

Earlier in the month, it was announced that the company had embarked on a recruiting drive in a bid to employ 2,500 new positions across the United Kingdom. This move came off the back of a merger with rival DHL’s UK ecommerce business earlier this year.

The company said at the time it was on track to deliver over 900 million parcels in 2025.

Fourteen parcels were reportedly left on a driveway in Coalisland, Co Tyrone, with addresses spanning Mid-Ulster and Co Derry.
