Xmas Eve will be a very light day hahaha

Post by Dan jack »

Had a huddle other day

Dom manager said
Xmas Eve will be a very light day. We will try to clear all walks on Xmas Eve. And those who finish 11:30am or 12:30pm go help your work colleagues HAHAHAHAHA.

Seriously 11:30am or 12:30pm I don’t know what they are talking about. Do they think we sleep out there. While they sit on there arse on the computer.

What a load of dribble đź’©

No problem - as long as they don't send any mail at all and let us only do the parcels for one side

If it isn't light I can see them possibly telling us to take 1st Class, Xmas Cards and Parcels.

All trolley duties then.

And there's no way they'd come and help the rest of us as they don't drive! :d'oh!

Can't see it been much lighter, I had 4 packet sacks today, no let up, and the manager is hoping for a clear office,, yeah right! We had to bring back loops today, just can't get chance to clear the frames

If we get out at 1130am that might give us the grand opportunity to get one loop done. Although last time I went out with one (three weeks ago) it took 200% of the time it's supposed to take. It's a wall of cards not going anywhere. Somewhere between 15-20 bundles and that's only achievable in two days if we have zero packets.

The fabled mid-month drop has not happened. At best traffic levelled off.
The machine stops.

The big question is how much mail is being held upstream of the inward MCs? If there's a lot and they release it to us then DOs will still be really busy.

I think it well depend how up to date the MC are with the DSA ? In the past we have been flooded with crammed mech trays and non buddy DSA flats for the IPS.
I am hoping parcels and packets will ease off. Its been a steady 3 packet bags a day right through this year.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Anyone know if DOMs are on a nice earner if we clear all frames on Christmas Eve?

Today (I'm FT collections) was probably the worst Monday of the entire Christmas period, same for the other 5 FT duties.

Very nearly a full boxer van off my first wave alone. Boxes were shite but parcels are still an absolute joke! Last post for 1st class was Friday, so no idea why it's still so busy.

There is no way Wednesday will be light.
