It's a load of over complicated f***ing nonsense. Why replace an App that we all use? What's the point? Do Royal Mail board members have a financial interest in the Robin App?? Literally the idiots decide to replace an App that works, with something that resembles a dog turd. Everyone is on the People App, so why don't the clowns at Royal Mail just automatically just transfer people over to the dog s**t App? 💩💩💩💩💩💩
Cos they want us to view all their propaganda via Robin and way to do that is to put the people app in there. I bet this cost seven figures plus and union won’t batter an eyelid
You don't need to look at any of the guff but, just ignore it all and go onto the people app when your on robin.
No more people app early next to year according to HR
The stand alone People app maybe disappearing but the one we can access via Robin, or the link shown above, will have to remain in use?

Spending that amount of effort to persuade us to use a crap app is very suspicious. It`ll only be for the benefit of RM and whoever monetises it. I`m too busy to be faffing about with it, and will only download it on the last day available, assuming I haven`t already left.

I've managed to login to Robin.
At the top of Robin page I can click to go to the People App.
Is this just for the time being before the People App closes at the end of January or will this be the way of getting to the People App from February onwards?
If the People App does close completely, where in the Robin App do I go to see all the information the People App showed?

I think that will be the way when the original people app ends, I thought if you went through robin it did have all the info, if you go through robin you open it up in a web browser I've bookmarked the direct link instead of going through robin and taking the risk of accidentally reading some of the utter crap on there.

Unfortunately, the Robin "App" is nothing to do with Microsoft. It might actually work properly if that was the case. However, Royal Mail made the basic error of creating Everybodies log in on Robin as what looks like an email address i.e. Joebloggs2@royalmail.co.uk. The Joebloggs2 is infact what your name log in is for your PDA. If I remember correctly you kind of use that Joebloggs2@royalmail.co.uk to get into the "App" before being prompted to creat a unique login and password. Technically it's not an App hence why it doesn't behave as such. As usual it comes down to cost i.e. Royal Mail weren't prepared keep paying the costs of the older system. This happens a lot in I.T. but obviously didn't have the negotiating skills or clout to bring costs down.

Facebook closed down Workplace altogether for all companies who used it, not just Royal Mail. I don't think they had a choice.

Robin getting a hammering on Robin.
Why didn’t they just leave the people app in place instead of the propaganda app no one is interested in. Awful app

Its vomit inducing the amount of back slapping and arse kissing that goes on in that app. You would genuinely think the managerial class hold this business up by themselves.

All talk about the importance of health and safety with pics of van checks yet they all seemed to lose their cameras last week when we were trouncing around in snow and ice.

And outrage over yorks that aren’t in great shape. Not a word on the farce in our trial office off expecting a weeks worth of door2doors to be done in 2 days one week and three days the next. All quiet on our overtime ban now too.

Genuinely need to be a narcissist to be a manager in this company

This is a third-party app so they don't have worry about maintaining it.

If you just do your contracted hours & have no need to check a wage slip, which you can ask your manager to print off if needed, why would you even need this robin app or the app it's replacing?
