How many receive the bonus? Maybe 80,000? An extra £300 each would add £24 million to the wage bill. Royal Mail made a profit of £12 million last year. I Wouldn’t hold my breath if I was you.

She possibly won't be soon.

What reason, as if it that easy to fool the taxman then why would any company ever declare any profits?

For a business that generates billions in revenue overall the profits do look pretty small on paper.

RM's results are shaped by how they shift money around the group and what they spend via transformation. I don't think they are hard up and the numbers they show are purely designed to make the business look lean and under pressure. The end result is still the same for us - record workloads and pressure but somehow "no extra money" in the pot when it comes to its own staff.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

They bluffed just over a year ago just before kretinsky came in and made it look like things were a lot worse than they secretly were.. then all of a sudden when he was settled in 3 months we seen a sudden surge in profit as if overnight.. look im not fooled.. I would be happy if I got one person thinking along my lines because I know im not far away on this

Then we have new entrants who come into the business being treated like scum... total disregard for anyone who is actually working on 13 pound an hour(and still here)and the cwu coming out every 6 8 weeks talking a load of shite about what there going to do for new entrants.. cleaners are getting more to clean houses.. but unfortunately we ll hear after xmas how bad things are ..but thats how the ruthless tycoon works.. make it look like everything's wrong.. next year there will be no stamps at xmas.. bonus will decrease to.. someone needs to show kretinsky what the word " incentive" means.. I love my job but when the piss is being taking out then we have to look at alternatives unfortunately I cant wait on equalization..
