I don't see why not. Don't announce you are wearing one to management and see how it goes. A few at our place have bought their own dash cams and nothing has been said.

Re: Body cameras
There is an answer. It's a criminal offence to obstruct a postal worker. If this happens you should contact the police immediately, your manager and the security team. No one should be abused during the course of their duties. You dont to need a body camera, you simply follow the policies of the employer.

Re: Body cameras
It's currently against RM's policy if you are an employee and use your own body-worn camera's on deliveries mainly because of data protection and GDPR rules. If you decide to wear one now then you would technically be breaking company policy and that could lead to disciplinary issues even if your intention was for protection.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Re: Body cameras
I'm not sure the official stance, although what is posted above would appear to be fairly reasonable.
I would think that wearing a body cam, if it is recording, then you would have to let every single person/ member of the public that you had an interaction with that you are recording them.

Re: Body cameras
Why doesn't RM officially introduce them for all delivery and collections staff?

Re: Body cameras
I think it is a good idea - could help with safety issues - especially dogs, lying customers, proof of delivery etc etc.
